The cost for our 3 day course in London is £370 and includes sessions with top class brass player from the UK. The children are firstly spilt into ability groups, usually initial (grades 1-3), intermediate (grades 4-6) and advanced (7+). We also have a workshop session for those who are grade 8+ who would like to work at a higher level and have a separate hour with our best tutors.

Our sessions will start at 9am at the Royal Academy and run through to about 5.30pm. During that time the players will have 3 main sessions of playing (in ensembles and in workshops as well as the very popular massed brass session at the end of the day). The Brass Academy focus is also very much on having fun and social development between our players, so we include an activity session after lunch each day. In the summer this involved going to Regents park for a range of games, and we hope to include some element of this in the Christmas course, although outside time may be limited depending on the weather in December. On the Wednesday we will have a concert, where each of the groups plays a piece they have prepared during the course, and parents/friends/family are invited to attend. We expect this to be finished around 5pm. Each course also has an individual performance element, where everyone is invited to play a piece for feedback from their tutor, this can be very helpful in audition and exam preparation times. The best of the players are invited to play in a mini soloists final, and the winner of this will also be asked to perform at the concert.
