Annie Morris

Annie Morris is a freelance tuba player and teacher from Shropshire who is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Ben Thomson, Kevin Morgan, Ewan Easton, and Oren Marshall. Annie previously studied at Chetham’s School of Music with Brian Kingsley.

Annie has played with a number of ensembles while at the Guildhall including Symphony Orchestra, Big Band, Jazz Orchestra, and UBU. Outside of her studies, Annie is one of the founding members of Apollo Brass, a New Orleans style jazz band, and has played at a number of Oktoberfests and functions across the UK. She also premiered Lisa Logan’s children’s piece “The Magical Fish” for solo tuba and orchestra with the Docklands Sinfonia in 2022.

Annie became involved with the Brass Academy in 2018 when she came on our courses as a student! The Brass Academy has been one of Annie’s main inspirations in her performing and teaching career.
