Emily Allen
Emily began her studies at the Guildhall in 2004, learning with Richard Bissill, Hugh Seenan and natural horn with Andy Clarke. Prior to this she was a member of the National Children's Orchestra, National Youth Sinfonia and the Northants County Youth Orchestra and Concert Band. She completed a master's degree at the Guildhall in 2009 and subsequently became a chamber music fellow.
Since then she has had a varied career, including curating workshops for children with SEN, delivering creative music sessions in prisons and performing as a dancer-musician with a contemporary dance company, She has toured the World with Quintabile Brass and made her West End debut playing in Disney's Lion King.
Emily is currently Head of Performing Arts at Aldro School in Surrey. She is Mum to two girls and if she ever gets any spare time she enjoys eating Japanese food, or watching her beloved Leicester City.
